Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Everest Edge Treks. By booking any trek, tour, expedition, or travel service with us, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.

1. Booking Confirmation

• A booking is confirmed only after we receive the required deposit.
• Clients must provide accurate personal information, including passport details, emergency contact information, and any relevant medical conditions.
• We reserve the right to refuse any booking if the required information is incomplete or incorrect.

2. Payment Policy

• A deposit of 20% to 30% of the total trip cost is required to confirm your booking.
• The remaining balance must be paid before the trek starts or upon arrival in Nepal, as agreed.
• Payments can be made by bank transfer, credit/debit card, or cash in Nepal.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

• Cancellations must be made in writing via email.
• The booking deposit is generally non-refundable, except in special circumstances approved by the company.
• If cancellation occurs after permits, transportation, or hotel bookings have been arranged, those costs will be deducted from any eligible refund.
• No refunds will be provided for unused services after the trip has started.

4. Changes to Itinerary

• Weather conditions, flight delays, natural disasters, government regulations, road conditions, or other unforeseen events may require changes to the itinerary.
• Everest Edge Treks reserves the right to modify the itinerary to ensure the safety and success of the trip.
• Any additional costs caused by such circumstances are the responsibility of the client.

5. Travel Insurance

All clients must have comprehensive travel insurance that covers:

• High-altitude trekking
• Emergency helicopter evacuation
• Medical treatment
• Trip cancellation
• Personal accidents
• Loss or theft of personal belongings

Clients are responsible for ensuring their insurance policy is suitable for their planned activities.

6. Health and Fitness

• Clients should be physically and mentally fit for their chosen trek or tour.
• Any pre-existing medical conditions must be disclosed before booking.
• Our guides have the authority to stop or modify a trek if continuing would pose a health or safety risk.

7. Passport, Visa, and Permits

Clients are responsible for:

• Holding a valid passport with sufficient validity.
• Obtaining the appropriate Nepal visa.
• Providing the documents required for trekking permits.

We will assist with permit arrangements where applicable.

8. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

• Follow the instructions of guides and trekking staff.
• Respect local customs, traditions, wildlife, and the environment.
• Avoid activities that may endanger themselves or others.
• Follow Leave No Trace principles and dispose of waste responsibly.

9. Company Responsibilities

Everest Edge Treks will:

• Provide experienced and licensed trekking guides.
• Arrange services as described in the confirmed itinerary.
• Prioritize the safety and well-being of all clients.
• Assist with emergencies whenever reasonably possible.

10. Limitation of Liability

Everest Edge Treks is not liable for delays, cancellations, injuries, illnesses, loss of baggage, accidents, natural disasters, political unrest, flight disruptions, or other events beyond our reasonable control.

Participation in trekking and adventure activities involves inherent risks, and clients accept these risks by joining the trip.

11. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays, itinerary changes, or trip cancellations resulting from events beyond our control, including but not limited to earthquakes, floods, landslides, severe weather, pandemics, strikes, government restrictions, or civil unrest.

12. Photography

Everest Edge Treks may use photographs or videos taken during the trip for promotional purposes unless a client requests otherwise in writing before the trip.

13. Privacy Policy

Personal information provided during booking will be used only for arranging your trip, obtaining permits, and communicating with you. We do not sell or share your personal information with unrelated third parties.

14. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Nepal. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Nepal.
